On Thursday 4th December, Nunthorpe residents went to the polls to elect their new ward councillor following the resignation of Liberal Democrat Morgan McClintock.
Our fantastic local candidate, Martin Lyon, ran an energetic and positive campaign, strongly supported by sitting Conservative Councillors and Local Volunteers. We at South Tees Conservatives are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and community spirit shown throughout the campaign.
While the result didn’t go our way this time, we congratulate Joanne Rush of Reform UK on her victory and wish her well as Nunthorpe’s new Ward Councillor.
Election Results:
- Sam Boardman (Green Party): 79 votes
- Richard Lewis (Labour Party): 52 votes
- Martin Lyon (Conservatives): 328 votes
- Joanne Rush (Reform UK): 563 votes
- Adrian Walker (Liberal Democrats): 550 votes
