A monumental effort by our councillors and activists saw newsletters delivered to every household in Guisborough, around 8,500, phew!
It was fabulous to be joined by Sir Simon Clarke, the previous MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland. Canvassing revealed a lot of support on the doorstep and particularly for the work that we are doing locally to hold the Labour controlled Redcar and Cleveland council to account. A lot of anger and disillusion with the current Government too, our older residents will not easily forget having their winter fuel allowance snatched away.
We had our usual social at the pub afterwards though most people had disappeared to watch the Boro match!
